Football weekend

So today was a great day. First, I got to miss the last 2 hrs of Church. Second, I got to go see the 49ers beat the Cardinals. It was the most crazy game I have ever seen with the 49ers winning in OT on a Cardinal fumble in the endzone. You should watch some highlights or something cause it was a great game. It makes up for Utah losing another game they gave away in the last minute to BYU. Here is the game winning fumble recovery and the game saving defense at the end of regulation.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was great. Lucky for us Chels has Grandparents about three hours south right on the Mexican border, it saved us from pizza and football. (Wait, that doesn't sound so bad.) Anyways it was a lot of fun and we even went into Mexico to shop. We both got some cheep Mexican eye glasses. With all the dentists and eye dr's it was senior citizen heaven. Here is a pic of Danger as we were driving home. He had three other little dogs to play with down there, he was pretty sad to leave.

Girls girls girls

Chels and her friends decided to have a wedding party. Here is the deal, they all brought their wedding videos, stories, and pictures. I am so sad that I had class, I love watching wedding videos, and by that I mean I hate it.

Time for more blog fun

It has been a while, but here is the recent haps. We had a great annual Thunderbird Rugby Invitational. A bunch of grad schools came into town and had some fun. We lost to Stanford by three, and to Columbia by five, and we beat Wharton by 38. The tourny was great, but the rodeo was even more great. There is a place here that rents you the ring and the animals. Drunk students and bull riding is a dangerous but very entertaining combination. Here is a picture of the team from Texas at the rodeo.

Utah friends and the Nogger

Just throwing out an idea to the party planning committee. My suggestion for the day would be the Saturday before Christmas. Chelsey and I are only in town from Thursday to Christmas day, and Saturday seems to be a nice fit. I know that Boy and Sierra will be in town for it, and I assume that the two Thomas families, the Harpers, and anyone else I may be forgetting will be in town as well. Comment if this works or not. Also for you singles out there, bring a date, remember that was the second for Chels and I and look at us now, probably the couple of the year.

New Brother-in-law!

Taylor and James got engaged this week! We're really excited for them, but now Eric is going to have to share the favorite son/brother-in-law title and I'm going to have to share wall space in my mom's living room. I guess we can handle that. Welcome to the family James!

Rugby

These days we spend most of Saturday at the Rugby Pitch and Eric's getting pretty good. He normally plays against some pretty big guys, but look how many of them he left on the ground on his way to scoring this tri!

As you can see Danger is getting better. He got his stiches out this Saturday and he thinks he should get to play more than the doctor thinks. Danger made some friends at the Rugby game this week. He couldn't stay away from this guy!

Time Travel

This weekend a few of us went to a fifties muscle car show with my finance professor. (Can't turn down a chance to get some good face time in with a professor.) It was fun and there were some jawsome cars. Once I make my first million, we are going to buy that benz in one of the pictures. Things here are great, we have lots of friends and everyone loves us, so not much has changed from our Utah lives. I have career week this week, which means no school,lots of pizza and TV, and some career search. Chels still really likes her job and is happy as can be. Danger is hanging in there, he broke his leg a few weeks ago and has had surgery. He is back to his old self but we still have to keep him locked in his kennel so he won't injure it further.

We went to the temple the other day and thought we would publish a picture of the beautiful mesa temple.

Dangers Playmate

These are some pictures of our neighbors and their son Boston. Josh is in all the same classes with Eric so they will be here as long as us, it is nice to have normal neighbors. Boston and Danger are best friends. Boston will come and knock on our door to see him and Danger goes crazy. They like to kiss, this is a picture of it.

Weekend fun

This weekend I went out of town to an MBA career fair in Houston so Chelsey's mom came into town for a visit. Houston was fun, but not as fun as the girls had here in AZ. They shopped and decorated, I was way jealous. I didn't miss out on all of the fun though, I made it home in time for some "earomatherapy" ear wax removal treatment. What a girls night out we had!!!! The pictures show our apartment (pretty ghetto we think), pool, and the GNO.

Dangerous Adventures!

Danger had his first visit to the groomer yesterday. His hair was getting a little long and ratty. (It turns out that bathing a dog makes the knots in their hair worse) The grommer couldn't do much but just shave his hair off so we have some before and after pictures. We feel really guilty for making him look like this, but he doesn't seem to mind because he keeps getting sympathy treats out of it!




He's also started to take after Eric a lot since we've been down here. Any chance he gets at the remnants of a Capri Sun is heaven. He got a pretty good hold on this one and we couldn't help but take a picture... he's looking pretty happy!

Extracurricular Activities

Eric's joined the Rugby team which is threatening his life more each time he steps on the pitch. So far he's jammed his thumb twice and he's got a bruise on his knee that goes about six inches down his leg.... but you should have seen the other guy!! I went and watched a scrimmage they had on Saturday and he's pretty good. He is a lot faster than those GIANT guys on his team. He even scored a couple "tries." (that's the Rugby word for points I think) He is number 9 in this picture, doesn't he look good in short shorts!!!!

I've met some fun girls down here as well that decided to start a bunco group once a month. After we figured out the rules and got everyone together we had a lot of fun.

The First Day of School

This was Eric's first day of school. He was off with his new bike, backpack, and sack lunch! This was the beginning of a lot of fun times with Eric and his bike which sadly ended last night when his bike was stolen. He was pretty sad, but five popsicles and an oatmeal cream pie lifted his spirts a little.

School has been good for Eric. Most of his time lately has been spent on resumes and career search since he has yet to receive any of the books he ordered two weeks ago.

Chelsey has started to work with the Bank of Las Vegas and is loving it to pieces! It is a causal environment and she has her own office! She really has made it, it makes me want to drop out of school and be that stay in bed dad that I have always aspired to be.

Viva Arizona

Hello to all from beautiful Arizona! I have been down here for about 10 days now, and Chels finally got here 2 days ago. FYI driving a 16ft Uhaul while towing an SUV all alone while going 20mph over the hills of Nevada with nothing but desert to look at is awesome, you all should try it, but don't forget to bring your 11wk old puppy! These pictures are of my thunder-spouse in front of the thunder-welcome sign that says welcome in a total of 16 different languages holding our thunder-puppy. Then it is me in front of the thunder-sign again with our thunder-puppy danger. And then a family shot on the thunder-field. Look how our thunder-puppy has grown! (they refer to everything with a thunder in front of it so we are trying to get the hang of it. There is also a shot of the temp. according to our car at 6pm, it has averaged around 115 during the day.

Viva Mexico

When most people go to Mexico they take pictures of the beach, but not Chels and I. We are such nerds that the only pictures we took of the whole trip were of Chichen Itza the Mayan ruins just outside of Cancun. FYI- if you want to buy crap in Mexico buy it here, it was much cheaper than in Cancun. Here is my dad with all the ladies, Chels looking hot, and me and Chels looking hot together.

Oh Georgia

This is us keeping it real in Georgia with Chelsey's extended family. It was this night that we came up with the theory that mormons don't need alcohol to be crazy, they just need to play games for a few hours in a row. These pictures are us at the end of the night doing squating competitions, and Eric doing what he does best, indian leg wrestling.

Dangerous!!

Here is the newest addition to our growing family. Many of you have not seen our puppy so here he is at 6 weeks, the day we got him. In the six weeks we have now had him we have wanted to give him away about 15 times, but we just can't get over how cute he is, so he is here to stay. Later on we will post more current pictures to show how much our little puppy named Danger has grown. These are some pictures with his aunt Taylor.

Graduation!!

This one goes out to all of the elementary school teachers that told us that no Nielson would ever graduate from high school, let alone college. We may have cheated and lied our way through, but what an accomplishment!
