Another Grandma!

Another week another grandma! We were very lucky to have Grandma Krista come for a visit this week. It has been great to have her around to help and just be a grandma. Weston is doing great and is getting ready for his first flight. We are going to Utah on Friday and then Colorado on Wednesday. We are all pretty excited and so should you all!

Here are some pictures of what he has been up to. Basically sitting, being held, and being cute. The same things his dad is good at!

Bringing our little family home!

We are so excited to be home with Weston. He had is 4 day old appointment today and he's already gaining back his weight and doing great! Thank you all for your calls and comments. My Mom and Dad and Taylor came to visit Weston this weekend and he loved it. Here are some more pictures of his first few days...

Weston got all dressed up in his sweater from Grandma Beverly to make the trip home!

Aren't Weston and his dad so cute! Eric is such a great Dad. He's up for everything and takes such good care of Weston and me! Tonight Eric was pretty excited because Weston was upset and no one could get him calmed down and as soon as Eric took him he calmed down and fell asleep. He's still asleep laying on his chest right now.

Danger loves his Grandma and Grandpa and can't wait to see them again at Christmas! Grandma even took a long shift with Weston last night (since he loves to be awake in the middle of the night) so now I have a little energy to blog!

Danger was wary of Weston at first and wouldn't get too close to him. He's now started to get really interested and is always sniffing him. He has his moments though when he looks a little depressed.

This is more evidence of my sweet husband!

Isn't he precious!

Weston Reed Nielson

Our little West came tonight at 7:47pm EST here in Bloomington! We love him and think he is so perfect. He tipped the scales at 8 lbs 8 ounces and is 21 in long. Both he and mom are doing great! Plenty more to come in the next few days.

Waiting for Weston

It has been a while since we posted, but we are still here. Eric has been gone for at least part of the week the last five weeks in a row for work, it has been torture on Chelsey having him gone. He was in West Baden Indiana twice, North Carolina, Phoenix twice, and was in New York all of last week. As you can see, he is very important! The upside is that he was able to go see the Mangums in New York, and the Hanks and other friends in Phoenix. From the pictures, you can see that he is going to be a much better dad than Ty or Spencer (just kidding, they are great with cute kids), look how happy their kids are with him. While he was in New York, Chelsey's friend Shawntae flew out from Denver to be on labor watch. Luckily for us, she is also a master decorator. Her and Chelsey went crazy decorating last week, which means our house looks great and that we are broke. Here are some pictures on what they did in our living room, spare bathroom, and Weston's room. Once again, big thanks to Shawntae for helping out.

Our house

Well we are loving our house, but we've put off posting pictures of it being optimistic that we'd get our bare walls decorated, but it's looked the same for the last month and probably will for the next little while so we decided to cave to the requests for pictures. Here it is!

You will notice a room is missing. We do not have pictures of Weston's room yet, because he has not painted it yet.

Chicago

Sadly, it was nothing like the musical. However, with us only living 4 hours from Chicago, we thought, "Why not visit the Thomas family?" We had so much fun, they may have a hard time keeping us away from now on.

Andy and Alex live in a great condo right on the Navy Pier waterfront, really the best location in the city. We had a great time touring the city, eating, and hanging out. It was also good to have some private lessons on how to use our new camera. Here are some pics-

Thanks guys, we will have to do it again.
