Easter!

It was our first Easter with Weston, but that wasn't his only first...He had rice cereal for the first time and he mastered rolling over!! He's rolled over a few times over the past 5 or 6 weeks, but he would do it once and then couldn't do it again...almost like it was an accident, but he's got it down now! We're getting pictures taken of him this weekend so hopefully we can get him to stay on his stomach!

He loves rice cereal. We can't get it in his mouth fast enough! Unless we make it with formula, then he looks at us like we're trying to feed him rotten food.

Weston was overwhelmed with all of his Easter toys, but he had the bucket tipped over shortly after the picture. Mom and Dad just got to come along for the ride this Easter. Grandma sent Weston his cute outfit and basket! Thanks Grandma. We got Weston some bubbles which are actually pretty funny. They are made to not pop so when we play with them, he just ends up cover in bubbles! I'll try and get a picture because it's pretty cute!

Jessie and Jordie, Eric's co-workers, came over for Easter dinner. Jessie went to Thunderbird with Eric and both Jessie and Jordie work for Cook doing Eric's same position in China and Europe so they've been here training for a couple weeks. Jordie brought Weston the cutest Bunny. It sings, dances, and lights up...the whole works! I think I've had as much fun with it as Weston!

Showers!

We had a couple shower's this past week. Thursday, Laura and Catherine threw a "new moms and moms-to-be" shower. We did a gift exchange and all brought a different type of cookie. I got assigned macaroons which I had never made or ate before, but I think they turned out okay!

Saturday Laura and I threw a shower for Catherine. We had so much fun! Our theme was "A baby girl is blooming!" Taylor designed darling flower invites for us and I copied
the Smith's fantastic creativity and made a fruit bouquet! Congrats Dave and Catherine! We're excited for you!

Baby Diesel

At Thunderbird, some friends mockingly called me Diesel for my slender build. Well, I have started to call Weston baby Diesel, and it's not for his slender build. He had his 4 month appointment and he is a healthy truck. He tipped the scales at 17.11 lbs and 27.5 inches- both putting him over the 95th percentile for his age. He is doing well and always seems hungry. We are going to start feeding him hot dogs.

Also, spring is kind of in the air. Bloomington is a terrible place to be in the wintertime, but spring more than makes up for it, even if there is a lot of rain. This is a picture of the tree in front of our house during a rain storm, and also what our neighborhood looks like in springtime- it is very nice.
