We decided we wanted to do a little family trip before summer ended so we went up to Breckenridge for the weekend and had a blast!
|Jordy at 6 weeks|
Traveling with little ones is a bit tricky, but worth it. I'm pretty sure the kids favorite part of our trip was the bunk beds they got to sleep on! Weston is getting to a fun age where he can do so much. We had to take turns doing things, but Weston got to do everything: mountain bike, swim, fish, hike, alpine slide and the like. He was in heaven and I don't think Livi realized what she was missing when she couldn't go so everyone was happy!
Grandma Krista came to meet Jordy and hang out over the 4th of July! The kids love playing with Grandma because she had much more energy than mom...
Forth of July Bike Parade!
We took grandma to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and got to feed the Giraffes and saw a peacock spread it's feathers...(Too bad I couldn't hint enough for that guy to get out of our picture:)
I didn't schedule a session to get new born shots of Jordy, so although I'm nowhere near a photographer, I thought I should try and get a couple shots of him while he was still only a couple weeks old. Weston just couldn't stand it and had to be in the shots too:)
One morning we were just hanging out and taking it really slow. It was the first day we hadn't had company or somewhere to be since Jordy was born so we were kind of taking the day off. Half way through The Price is Right, the door bell rings, Danger looses it, I realize I'm in my sweats and braless, Livi's naked, the house is a mess and Jordy starts crying. I open the door to the sweet Relief Society presidency that I forgot I had told they could stop by and meet Jordy:) Livi cried most of the time they were here and it was so bad that I took a picture after they left from the front door to show Eric what they got to walk into. Eric just laughed and said, "you probably got us another week of meals"
We had so much fun with Chad and Jax! Luckily they were good with a pretty laid back vacation! The boys got to camp out in sleeping bags in the family room, we played and played outside, and ventured out one day for some sight seeing...
Cousin time watching the World Cup!
On our day of sight seeing we ventured down to Colorado Springs and explored Garden of the Gods (which is beautiful and amazing) and took the kids to eat at the airplane museum!
Grandma Beverly came out to meet Jordy and help us out!
One day we met up with Taylor and Skyler for some water fun...

Since this little girl had a 4 day old brother on her birthday, we celebrated at home with our little family. At her 2 year appointment she was 36 1/4 inch tall (98th percentile) and 27.4 Lbs (59th percentile).
We had this play house sitting in our storage room that we hadn't set-up yet after moving. Eric and Weston surprised her by setting it up outside and building a little path to it. She loved it:)
She got a karaoke machine for her birthday and we got our groove on:)
Helping make her own pink cupcakes...Does it get any better?
A few weeks later we had a little Karaoke party to celebrate with family!
A Radioactive Duet
Jess and Macy showing us how it's done!
I just love this little girl. She truly is sugar and spice and couldn't get much better!
