15 Months and LOVING spring!

(Warning- A little wordy. I'm horrible at the journal/scrapbook thing so this is it!)

Weston turned 15 months at the beginning of this month and we are having so much fun. He is now 28 Lbs 3oz. and 34 inches tall. I think he might end up being taller than his dad! He's in the 90% percentile for weight and off the charts for height. Latest milestone is that he's DONE with the bottle. I was hanging on to the night time one for selfish reasons, but we gave it a shot one night without it and no big deal...he slept the same.

He's starting to say so many words and will try and copy the last word of every sentence we say to him. I thought signing was a lost cause with him. I tried for months to teach him "more" and "all done" when he was eating. He can now say more and has been able to for a couple weeks, but just today he started signing it every time he says it. Not as helpful anymore, but at least I know something was sinking in and it's pretty cute!

My favorite (and least favorite) new thing that Weston is doing is getting embarressed. When we were in Utah over Chirstmas, a couple times, someone other than us would tell Weston not to do something and he just broke down crying. Well, he hadn't really done it since until recently and it's happening much more often. It is almost as if he's embarressed. At a friends house a couple weeks ago, someone said something like, "Oh, don't touch that." in a very nice voice. Weston stopped and sat down playing with another toy while we were all talking. After a minute we noticed that his huge lip was hanging out. He was doing EVERYTHING he could to not start crying and just keep playing. After another minute, Eric went over and picked him up and he just lost it. He almost couldn't breathe he was crying so hard. Anyway, at another friends house he was sitting on a little kid chair and fell off. I didn't think it looked like he got hurt, but it was that same cry. I think he was embarressed:) Well, it is cracking me up, but I do hope it's a short phase! I think it is all a part of his mind growing, starting to get an imagination, and be able to think through things. He also has started to have a hard time sleeping when Eric isn't here. At first I didn't think anything of it, but it is a night a day difference the day he leaves. It is really sweet, but I also hope that one's a short phase.

Love my dare devil

and tough guy!

Okay...gross, I know. We were watching a friends dog this weekend, and Weston loved her kennel. I couldn't keep him out. I eventually had to move it to my room and keep the door shut. (but not before I got in an uninterrupted work-out:) I'd be lying if I said this was the grossest thing he's ever done.

Weston LOVES to help me cook. This is his first shot at licking the beaters and he enjoyed every second. A minute later he tried to grab a whole ball of dough off the cookie sheet. (Full on tantrum followed when I told him we needed to cook them first...)

We can't get enough of this little guy!

All-Star in the making

Today we decided to shoot hoops as a family at the church. West showed off his skills and Deron Williams jersey- thanks grandma Krista!
