Missing Daddy

We've been having a lot of fun with family, but we're sure missing Eric and he wanted me to post some video of Weston. So these may be a little boring to everyone else, but I think they are pretty cute! This is the first day we got here and Weston was meeting Sadie (my sister's dog) for the first time...

Okay...I had two more videos, but I kept getting error messages and it's now 12:30 so I'm going to have to try again later.

Just Some Pics!

Weston Loves swimming and we took him to the APEX to try out some water slides! He loved it, but then again he loved the little water fountains just as much!

Weston LOVED the Mongolian BBQ. We couldn't fill up his plate fast enough. Apparently I need to learn how to cook Tofu. I think it was his favorite!

Grandma Great flew over to see us and we had a lot of fun! My grandma decide that she was going to get my parents yard looking better and I think it turned out to be a bigger project than she thought, but it sure looks great. West and I helped a little. The last picture is the best. They both look like they are thinking "This isn't as fun as I thought it would be."

West's having all sorts of fun with his friend Luke. He can't get enough of him!

Enjoying the SNUGGIE!!

Happy Birthday Jolie! My cousin's little girl just turned one and we got to go celebrate with them. It was pretty windy, but we had fun. Aren't Macie and Jolie too cute!

9 Months

Our little West turned 9 months this past week. Just for documentation sake- He is now 24 Lbs. 9 oz. and 30.5 inches tall! Still 95%+ in both catagories. Our new favorite game is tag- basically where Eric chases West and he hurries out of the way. Here is a video of tag and then our little guy taking some steps. We are thinking he will be ready to walk in the next few weeks. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Here are some shots of what he has been up too lately.

We also had a ward party last week- here is our little wide-receiver in action. He screams everytime he plays catch- it is really cute now, but may cause problems if he keeps doing it when he starts organized sports.

This guy gets around!

I'm not sure if I'm ready for walking. My usual view of West these days is generally the back of his head on his way to something I'm realizing I need to babyproof. He's growing so fast. He's still doing the army crawl, but maybe 10% of the time he'll do a REAL crawl! His latest development is waving hi and bye. It totally shocked me! We are always trying to get him to do it and the other day we were talking to my mom on the web cam and she said "bye bye West" and waved and he waved back. So we tried it again and he did it again. We're having so much fun with him as he's becoming more and more interactive with us...he is so sweet!

This is his determined look as he's going for whatever he's about to get into...

Our little prodigy...I didn't help him get into this position at all. The only thing I did was turn it on for him, once he started playing. He LOVES the keyboard.

NOTHING about this set is baby proof. The whole thing is going to have to go!

I grabbed him right after this picture. So far I've been successful at keeping him from eating dog food, but he is pretty determine. Most of the time I've started keeping the laundry room door shut, but then I forget to open it and poor danger is probably starving (you'd really think that if you've seen his latest hair cut!)

He still loves his swing. He won't sit in it anymore, but he climbs all over it. It freaks me out. Sometimes he climbs up the actual swing. He thinks it's hilarious swinging it back and forth, but I'm not brave enough yet to leave and pick up my camera to get a shot of that.

All that action and he's still got his beautiful cheeks. I love it!

McCormick Creek State Park

Last weekend we drove up to McCormick Creek State Park (about 25 minutes away) It was such a fun place. They have camping areas and even an Inn, swimming pools, tennis courts, playgrounds, hiking trails, and big open area between it all. We want to get a group of people together in the fall to go up have a picnic and play football/tennis or something. Anyway, here are a few pics from our day:

Weston LOVED the playground!

It was pretty hot and Danger needed a break!

What a beautiful place to spend a Saturday!

Hodge Podge- Anniversary fun, good friends, and more!

Eric surprised me with Dave Matthew's Band concert tickets on our anniversary. I was really excited, but almost more nervous about leaving Weston for the first time for a full night. We are so lucky to have great friends, Mike and Joy, that took such good care of him! He did much better than I thought and we had a GREAT time on our first date out since Weston was born!! Thanks again guys!

We were so lucky to get to see Abby and Riley our great friends from Arizona! They came in town to visit family in Indianapolis and let us impose on their trip to the Children's museum. Weston loved tagging along with the big kids, but Riley wasn't too sure about having a tag along! (The picture at the bottom is just to show how not excited Weston was to be stuck in his stroller at any time.) We wish you guys were here all the time! We're excited that you'll at least be closer soon!

Turns out Weston can pull himself up to standing now. One day last week, both times I came in to get him from his nap he was standing up and then I was doing dishes and he crawled over and pulled himself up on the dishwasher. Looks like we are going to have to get our house in a little better babyproof shape!

This day I was just trying to do some laundry, but Weston wasn't wanting to hang out alone at all so I was carrying him in the laundry basket from his room to the laundry room. When I set the basket down, Danger kept trying to get to him so I threw him in too. Danger immediately decided he didn't want to be in there and was turning around and jumping all over trying to get out. West thought it was HILLARIOUS!
