The weather was pretty hit or miss (sadly it was hit often while I was away working) but we still were able to get some good beach time in. The day we dedicated to sightseeing was probably the worst- heavy fog that ruined the views, which later turned into rain. However, it also meant that we had the sights all to ourselves- in fact, we were the only tourists at the Christ Redeemer statue, which was very cool. (even though it is currently being restored)
We left West with Grandma and Grandpa Sumner for a week, which was surprisingly easier than expected for both parties. Chelsey didn't cry- not even once.
Overall, we had a great time, and Chelsey is way better looking than the guys I normally travel with.

So fun! So nice that you get to travel together for a good price. I was so jealous looking at all your awesome pictures! Great job on leaving West, Chels. It was hard to leave my kids the first time (in March), but it is so good to have spouse time, huh?!
Didn't even cry once... impressive!! Maybe Kalen and I should follow suit, although I cry in home alone when the boy is left alone and that isn't even my freaking kid, so Wynter might be a little tough!

Oh how I would have loved to be there! It really makes me miss everything! My brother served in Rio so I got to see those sights too...fabulous. Well if you guys ever need another family to travel with the Rifes would love to come ;)

I`m glad you got to travel alone. We`re in Europe right now and left Brennan with grandma and grandpa. It`s hard but it`s so nice to be able to do it. I bet Brazil was super hot?? and humid? It looks like you had a great time.
