When I was a senior in high school, my friend's mom challenged her to not eat sugar for a month and some how I went along for the ride...and for some reason we loved torturing ourselves every February after that just to see if we could do it! I know it sounds crazy, but it actually is fun. Then we moved on to college and met Ashley who has enjoyed the crazy no sugar month with us for the last 8 years. Others have joined in here and there and I'm always trying to recruit! Once we all graduated college and we weren't living together anymore the deprevation didn't have the same thrill so we made some adaptation over the past couple years. Now it is more like "You can have sugar if...Month" This year is a little more lax so anyone that wants to join in is more than welcome! Here are the rules:
*Eat 3-5 servings of fruits/veggies a day
*Excercise at least 20 minutes 4 times a week
That's it...if you do those two things all week you can have some kind of sugar at the end of the week. So it should be pretty simple, but sadly for me it will be a big improvement over January on my health!
Eric and Ashley's husband George think we are crazy, but I look forward to February every year so it can't be all that bad!
Here are some pictures of Weston just for fun! (He's six weeks old!)

So cute!!!! Did you find a ticket for PHX???? I hope so!!!!!!!!!!!
Cute pictures! I am soo ready for February to start :-).
Brandon might be in this year...we'll see. :-)
I think you guys are crazy too. I have witnessed every single year of the madness. I'm just a hater because you guys have WAY more self discipline than I do. BTW I love Weston's grumpy face! Super cute!
Eric, I don't know how you deal with all of this weirdness. Come to our house where the cabinets are flowing with pixie sticks, oatmeal cream cakes and sour patch kids.
just kidding - I don't have a working pancreas...we don't have any of that stuff.
PS - Wes looks just like you.
Just remember: "there's no sugar in pixie sticks"
Ok so I am WAY behind but I just saw all the pictures of your sweet baby boy. Congrats you two!! Isn't life an adventure with kids. He is adorable, I am so grateful for blogs so I can keep up on your life.

I'm way ready for no sugar month!! I need something motivating me to go to the gym more often instead of curling up with a blanket on the couch every day after work :)
