More Weston!

One of these days Eric and I will do something worth blogging about. Until then, I'll keep the pictures of Weston coming. He's 7 weeks now and becoming so much more alert!

9th Annual "No Sugar Month"

When I was a senior in high school, my friend's mom challenged her to not eat sugar for a month and some how I went along for the ride...and for some reason we loved torturing ourselves every February after that just to see if we could do it! I know it sounds crazy, but it actually is fun. Then we moved on to college and met Ashley who has enjoyed the crazy no sugar month with us for the last 8 years. Others have joined in here and there and I'm always trying to recruit! Once we all graduated college and we weren't living together anymore the deprevation didn't have the same thrill so we made some adaptation over the past couple years. Now it is more like "You can have sugar if...Month" This year is a little more lax so anyone that wants to join in is more than welcome! Here are the rules:
*Eat 3-5 servings of fruits/veggies a day
*Excercise at least 20 minutes 4 times a week
That's it...if you do those two things all week you can have some kind of sugar at the end of the week. So it should be pretty simple, but sadly for me it will be a big improvement over January on my health!

Eric and Ashley's husband George think we are crazy, but I look forward to February every year so it can't be all that bad!

Adventures of Weston

Weston had a lot of firsts over the holiday. It was a bit scary taking a 2 week old across the country, but it was so worth and he did great! Our families loved meeting this sweet little guy. He got to meet almost all of his great grandparents and aunts and uncles, they loved him. Enjoy the mass of pictures!

Coming home from the trip...

Weston and I were really sad when Eric had to leave to go home and work, but I guess he was thinking about us a little while we were gone and decided to buy me a really sweet present! I was completely shocked. He knows I'm the cheapest person in the world so he was worried I'd be upset and had a huge list of reasons why I shouldn't be. He noticed that when we visited my grandma in Arizona or when we were at my parents I liked to try and play the piano. I need a lot of practice, but he thought it would be great if I had something to play at home especially now that we have Weston. I'm so excited to have it and hopefully I'll become a lot better (It has headphones in the meantime!)
