Bless that West

Thanks to my little brother Tony who had his missionary farewell (Louisiana), we had a good enough excuse to come to Utah and bless Weston with family and friends. We had a great time and are very grateful for all those family and friends who made the drive to come. The blessing went very well even though Weston cried through the first half of it. He has since been disciplined for his disobedience.

Not sure why he suddenly stopped, but my grandpa Ron had a theory- let me explain. President Boyd K. Packer is in my parents ward and occasionally come to that ward for church. Well he happened to be there on Sunday, so I decided that I had to ask him to be in the circle, which was scarier than proposing or facing me in an Indian leg wrestle. He nodded his head, and it was on. Long story short as Weston was crying, my grandpa opened his eyes and saw President Packer cup West's head and gently bounce it until he was quite. Theory number 2 is that Jay was pinching him.

Here are some shots.

Danger Update

We've had a busy couple of weeks and I made the posts in the order they happened before I thought about how they'd show up so you'll see our couple weeks backwards...

Danger can't figure out why we like Weston so much. He has started to bring toys to him, but Weston doesn't quite know what to do with them yet!

Danger didn't make the trip to Salt Lake with us, but we have a great family in our ward that watched him. Anyone that's met Danger can understand why I'm always so anxious about leaving him with someone, but they fell in love with him. I think he really misses the Whitings. He has been mopping around the last couple of days, and after they brought him over on Monday morning Danger kept going back to the window looking for them. Dallin and Jackie were even so sweet to make him a Valentine!

Valentine's Day

We weren't excited for the circumstances that brought us to Salt Lake last week, but we loved getting to spend Valentine's Day with family!

Grandma Great! Grandma Larsen

The Sunday before last my Grandma Larsen passed away due to a massive heart attack. She has had many health issues, but we were still a little shocked. I'm so glad I was able to live in Arizona near her this last year and that she was able to make it up to meet Weston. She will be very missed, but I know I'll get the chance to see her again and I'm so grateful for all that she taught me.

He's off the charts!

Well, we knew Weston was special, but this was confirmed at his 2 month appointment. We found out that he was 25 inches long and 13.7Lbs. Compared to other kids his age he was "off the charts" in height, 90th percentile for weight, 50th percentile for head size! We knew he'd be tall, but maybe he has some hope at coordination since his weight is keeping up!

Here are some pictures of him talking and playing with his dad!

I actually had 9 of these that I made into a cute little collage in photoshop, but I couldn't upload it to our blog even after I saved it as a jpeg. If anyone can tell me how to make those squares with multiple pictures I welcome the advice!

More Weston!

One of these days Eric and I will do something worth blogging about. Until then, I'll keep the pictures of Weston coming. He's 7 weeks now and becoming so much more alert!

My Boys

Weston's starting to notice his toys...he loves his bouncer!

He loves to sit up on the couch!

Well, he's still working on that one...
